As kite surfing expands into more distinct disciplines, so a
more specialised group of tools are needed to really excel.
It has always been the RRD principle to lead the new trends
rather than follow. The 2006 RRD kites and kiteboards range
has the ideal kite for any level of kitesurfer, but also one

Kite designer Simone Vannucci has introduced the 'PerfectCurve'
leading edge to all the RRD kites.
The leading edge is increasingly segmented towards the middle
of the kite, allowing perfect control of the shape of the kite.
(on a windless day you can pick up one of these by one tip and
they still hold their shape!!) The second generation 'Type Wave'
continues to lead the market as the perfect riding kite, whilst
the Type 7 will provide any freestylers with all the performance
they need.
If it's hangtime or race performance delivered ultra-smoothly
you're after, then the new HiR gives the best combination on
the water. Also found throughout the range is the option to
choose the bar and safety system you use. Either pick the revolutionary
wave bar sytstem, with 100% depower, by just sheeting out fully,
giving awesome control on the waveface, or for the freestlylers,
the option of two 5th line bars, complete with the new suicide
leash. Even the beginner RRD kites can be used with either system!
All this combined with a new range of heavy duty bags with pockets
for pump, bar and board.
